I’m here
My love to you I confessed,
Only to find you loved me much less;
Secretly your heart yearned,
And my love for you always burned.
Forever I will stay by your side,
It would be too painful to say goodbye;
None of them deserved you, not even me,
They couldn’t see your beauty, they were too blind to see.
Even if I have to die,
I will never ask you why;
But for the last few moments please hold me close,
Your love acting as my overdose.
When I’m gone I’ll belong to your heart and to the stars,
My spirit will not stray too far;
For now let’s pretend everything’s okay,
Let’s pretend I’m going to stay.
I recall the day I looked into your warm stare,
And promised that I’d always be there;
There is nothing to fear,
Because I am still here.

Within blue eyes
anemone and starfish
abound, and seaweed eyelashes
move leisurely with the tides.
At sunset they sparkle,
lined with golden sand
and swirling without a sure direction,
becoming cloudy as a storm brews.
Beware, anger flashes across the surface,
where riptides catch the unwary
ships and sailors, wrecked
and broken amongst its depths.
Only the brave venture in,
attracted by the untameable,
roaring waves and sharp wind.
Eyes stinging, they enter the battle.
Slowly they themselves become blue,
the cold clinging to their skin,
sucking out all their warmth.
Then white as stone,
lips cracked and filled with salt
that leaves a bitter

As Night lovingly embraced Sky, her lover
And brought him down to her bosoms
Man sheltered themselves and fell still;
Not even their breathing was heard
While Stars danced above, lustful
Seducing before the lone, aroused Moon
Without Sun acknowledging their betrayal
Without Horizon witnessing their caresses
Then what story did mankind hold?
Too afraid to step into Darkness' domain
Too frail to bear the cold Frostbite;
Just hiding under the shade of blankets, shivering
That no soul under the Heaven said a word
That no tavern sang songs of the old
For there be only Silence, her and only ex

Celestial
The stars are within us;
Their light still glowing brightly -
in the interconnections
of the elements they've birthed.
I smile playfully and say,
I can hopscotch from our Earth -
onto the neighboring moons of other planets;
Their weightless bodies -
dipping beneath my feet.
One day, we'll leave this solar system -
Once the spark of our sun burns out.
And we'll make the long journey,
beyond the Milky Way Galaxy -
before Andromeda's appetite,
Engulfs it whole.
Then we'll dance in the -
vacuum of space;
Floating and spinning with ease.
The eyes of the stars, sparkling,
in delight at our antics.
And I would chuckle and say,
